Arts on the Runway Sydney
ART ON THE RUNWAY IS CONTEMPORARY ART Festival DRIVEN BY FASHION?
Even though the image above is from 2012 exhibition, I was particularly drawn to it and wanted to find out a little bit more. This collaboration was presented by Harper's BAZAAR, working with a panel of creators and commentators including the likes of photographer Derek Henderson, journalist and author Mitchell Oakley Smith, writer Alison Kubler, and stylist Tiana Wallace.
A little bit more about Art Month Sydney. "Each March Art Month celebrates the vibrancy and diversity of contemporary art in Sydney by throwing open the gallery doors and presenting over 200 exhibitions and events. Maria Lavigina Illustrator/Fashion Designer.
Maria is a Engineering and Design graduated from Central Saint Martins & Shenkar college. She worked in the fashion industry as a fashion designer, pattern cutter, and embroidery designer. I do particularly like the architectural angles portrayed in her designs.
Maria Lavigina also did a self structured design project on Matthew Williamson Spring 2013 collection.

Vika Gazinskaya Russian Designer
Though I have never been to Russian, i've always intrigued by their expensive yet impeccable taste I would love to visit Moscow someday to see the amazing Architecture, colours, Russian Winters. I have been obsessed with the country most especially after watching the movie xXx, you know, starring Vin Diesel? The night club scene in that movie was crazy and I had wanted to experience exactly that sort of night out.
However when it coms to the fashion I have to say the Russians are on another level, I have been reading a lot of blogs, Russian Vogue, and i'm a big fan of Mira Duma, a former editor of Haarpers Bazaar Russia who now writes for a number of other Russian fashion publications.
I have recently come across a young designer called Vika Gazinskaya. And I am obsessing with her work.
Vika last catwalk collection on her website was Spring/Summer 2011-2012 but I have come across more collections including her Autumn/Winter 2012 collection and Spring/Summer 2013 through research on the internet. I hope she keeps going and would love to own her outfits someday. I particularly love her Sweaters with the wood diamonds with magnetic gems that can be moved around. Amazing, hope you like her work too

Alexander Wang Collaboration with H&M, November 2014
So Like Many H&M designer collaboration fans out there, I was delighted with the news of Alexander Wang designing this years collection. Great comeback after last years disappointment. I wasn't happy with H&M choice last year. My favourite have been: Matthew Williamson, Jimmy Choo, Karl Lagerfeld O, and don't forget Versace too.
I am a big fan of Wang, and have used a lot of his clothes to design sets in Polyvore (psst, I recently came 3rd in a polyvore competition out of 1,115 sets which I'm really chuffed about check it out here). Anyways getting back to the original story before I got sidetracked just then.
Alexander Wang has a casual yet sophisticated and clean palette, thats the best I could come up with describing his fashion style.
The collection will be out November 6 and I cannot wait. So in respect of the designer, I will pay homage to Alexander by posting a set from my polyvore account with a creation I have put together with his clothes for the next 5 days. Hope you like them.

Ray Donovan Season 2 is finally back!
Like many other Ray Donovan fans out there, I have been eagerly awaiting the return of this show for season 2. I love Ray, massive crush. Apart from his cheating ways I do love his Character. I love the way he adore his wife.
Such an amazing series with a great cast, Jon Voight is brrrrrilliant and very funny to. I love that a lot of the big screen actors are coming onto the small screen now and so many good shows to watch.
Please keep this show going. I'm a massive fan.

Dutch prison transformed to Luxury Hotel
Don't Know about you guys but I will definitely be checking out this hotel someday.
The idea of an old prison may put certain people off but I guess its almost the same way as old hospitals, factories that are being converted to luxury apartments. As a matter of fact many delegated building and locations have been modified to suit our lifestyles these days, look at the meat packing district in New York, it has become one of the most sort after post codes for many fashion labels and bars.

Emma Watson Teen Vogue
Seeing Emma grow up in front of our eyes has been such a joy, from 10 years Hermione Granger to 19 years old Emma Watson. Her stlye has clearly evolved through the years and transformed her from a nerdy sorceress to a worldwide fashion icon. I really love her style
Emma Watson, has landed herself the new face of Burberry, and will also be the cover girl for teen vogue august issue which i am really looking forward to getting cause i love the photography and the fashion used to in this issue.
i hear miss Watson is also creating a clothing line designed exclusively for teens and will donate every penny earned to the children's charity, UNICEF. Good on you girl so proud.
